I'd prefer Red Lobster! After a lovely evening at the beach (watching the sunset), we drove over to The Pier Restaurant but couldn't find a park anywhere so we decided to try Lobstah's (I mean with a name like Lobstah's it must be amazing right?). When I looked at the menu & prices, I just knew the food would be out of this world amazing. Well, NO... ...as we were dosing off at the table while waiting for what seemed like a lifetime our food it's finally arrived, well partially arrived. The huge appetizer portion of lobster nachos were soggy (& the chips that weren't mushy were burnt). The "meaty lobster bisque" should have been coined "cheesy lobster bisque" because it appeared & tasted very cheesy. After my two year old tastes he said "that's good cheese, I like it"! It wasn't bad tasting but it was underwhelming for a restaurant named Lobstah's. The chicken strips that came out after all of the other food were cooked to perfection but they were flavorless (as if there was no seasoning just panko bread crumbs). Must I continue...I'm tired of complaining... Although, the food wasn't what I expected the service was great. Our server was very friendly & personable. But I'd rather save a little cash & eat some cheddar bay biscuits. But hey at least Lobstah's is better than Long John Silver (which I really don't like). But the bathroom at LJS is probably cleaner than the one at Lobstah's (it smelled, there was trash on the floor, & the "soap" was basically 10% soap + 90% water...Gross).

The server was great but the food is a little sub par on flavor. The oysters were great and the tiki bar on the side was fun. The bar had darts, pool, and great prices on beer. I would just get apps and go to the bar for this place.

Made reservations for Easter Sunday dinner. When we got there, we found that they had seated us in the back tiki bar where a crazy family was letting their kids run wild. Not great, but also not their fault. However, it took a good 15-20 minutes for anyone to get to our table to take a drink or food order. They were out of a few menu items, no big deal. The waitress was unapologetic and almost annoyed by our very existence. After waiting almost an hour for our food, when we finally asked about it, again, the waitress seemed annoyed, and told us the kitchen was backed up over 45 minutes - perhaps a helpful tip to let folks know when they are placing their orders. When our food did come, it was really delicious. The food was really great, but the atmosphere and terrible service negate that. With the many choices available on the island, don't settle for terrible service at high prices! Choose somewhere else to eat your lobsters. This place isn't worth it.

Overpriced $71 for lunch for two with no alcohol. Stupid! From New England. Bisque was good. Service weak. They know you will never coming back. Don't get ripped off, eat elsewhere. So many better choices.

Ordered three cheeseburgers to go. The buns were soggy, meat was charred.. Over cooked. Fries got cold and nasty right away. Not a big fan.

It is businesses like this that make Yelp a more reliable indicator of quality than the reviews on Trip Advisor. If you read the Trip Advisor website, you'll see tons of 5 star rave reviews and reviews naming particular servers: "Rachel was the best" "Gary was the best" etc. for this place. Well, how can a reviewer claim to have loved the food without describing a single dish? Most of the 5 star rave reviews are written by accounts that have a single review, or even funnier, 5 reviews, all for the same restaurant. How many times can you remember the name of the server long enough to write a review? No other restaurant has reviews naming servers by name on such a regular basis. Naming servers and one review reviewers... you figure it out. The meal I had was "eh". Not terrible, not great, overpriced for what it was but then again a lot of places on the island charge more because it's an island and they have a captive audience. Honestly, this place is on par with Red Lobster, middle of the road fare cooked by an uninspired kitchen staff. It is less than half a block from the ocean so I suggest going to Publix supermarket and ordering a couple of subs and eating your dinner on the beach at sunset. The one upside is that this place is open later than some other restaurants on the island, so if you are looking for something later in the evening, this might suit your needs.

Following other Yelpers, tried the Lobstah Bisque. AWESOME! I almost ordered a second cup, and should have gotten the bowl and an appetizer. On my short list to go here at least once when in town again. Also had the Anna Maria pasta, which was good, but I'll probably try something else that is more natural fresh fish vs. seafood in red sauce. It was good, don't get me wrong. Friendly staff. Good ambiance. Mix of vacationing families and locals at 7pm on a Tuesday. Beach is a short walk away and allowed for a perfectly timed walk to see the sunset.

A return visit here. We had to come back for their bread basket which consisted of freshly baked and buttered bread pieces accompanied by a small bowl of freshly roasted whole garlic swimming in olive oil to dip the bread in...To die for! The coconut shrimp was meaty, crispy and huge! My husband ordered a lobster salad which he said was ok and he wished had more lobster...

  • Tonya S.

Not worth the time. Food wasn't good and the service was even worse. I think I had the smallest oysters ever and my husband had fried shrimp which was ok but the skinny fries were limp!!

  • Jennifer P.

Nice restaurant in front and also had a sports bar type tiki bar in the back for overflow. We sat there and enjoyed the atmosphere. Service was slow at times but friendly. Husband got the seafood pasta, and it was amazing. I wanted to order it before we left town. I had a cup of the meaty lobster bisque, which is all you need as rich and delicious as it is. Also had a house salad with creamy lobster dressing, which was very good. We started with the lobster nachos, which were good...I would get a different appetizer next time because they have so many great options. Kids' fried shrimp and chicken fingers were also good.

The place wasn't busy but since I was dining alone I chose to eat at the bar. It took at least 8 minutes for the bartender to even greet me (again...not busy...it's a Monday night in January). When she did, she didn't offer me a drink menu or make any suggestions. I ordered a water and asked for the menu. It took her another 6-8 minutes to come back to see if I was ready to order. I asked what she suggested (after hearing other servers describe certain dishes on the menu). She had nothing to say except "Everything is good". I ordered the Coconut Shrimp tacos and they were good but the cole slaw was better. It's sad when the best thing on the plate is the cole slaw. The shrimp had enough shells left on it to annoy the crap out of me and was so chewy, it didn't taste fresh. I also ordered a Bloody Mary and it described as spicy but it had more of a sweet taste to it. Not what I was expecting or wanting. Then to top off the night, they had some plumbing issues in the men's bathroom so the manager asked the dishwasher to mop it up. After she was out of ear shot, he started complaining loud enough for me to hear that this isn't his job and how are you supposed to clean up water with a wet mop with a few swear words mixed in. His complaining went on pretty much the entire time I was eating. It didn't add to my dining experience! I wouldn't come back or recommend it to a friend.

We had calamari as an appetizer. It was excellent. For dinner we had fish and chips, a lobster tail, salmon and seafood Anna Maria. They were all excellent. No complaints at all. The atmosphere was also cool. We sat in the back room which was made to seem like you are outside. They have fans pool tables etc. the prices were reasonable as well. The wait staff attentive. I would recommend this place.

  • Jake M.

Lobster bisque was the consistency of hot cheese whiz and tasted similar. Clam chowder was excessively thick as well. Ceased salad was really bad as well. Giving it a two instead of a one because it was a Tuesday and maybe they had their b crew working. Would not go again

Off today after a few days of work. Traveling and visiting the area. I had the Main Lobster Roll, omg amazing. Try the bloody marry, it was great.

  • Erin M.

This place is weird. Sometimes great sometimes just lousy. The lobster roll is overpriced and not very good. The service was pretty bad today but the last time we were here it was exceptional. The shrimp tacos are always yummy. The lobster bisque sometimes has the sherry in top but sometimes not. I'm pretty tired of the inconsistency because it's a real let down when you think it's going to be great like last time but it is below average. Sometimes it's full of drunk tourists so watch out for a heavy bar population. I wish it were good every time cause when it's good it's just delicious.

Disgusting. Visited on 5/31/15. We visit AMI every year but had never been to Lobstahs. We figured we'd give it a try. Huge mistake. Rachel, our waitress was very attentive and very good at selling the menu. We ordered the peel and eat shrimp. It had a mealy texture. It was as if the shrimp had been frozen, thawed, re-frozen, thawed again, then served to us. Why on earth would you freeze shrimp when you are one block away from the Gulf of Mexico? The second try by the kitchen was a little better but still a little mushy. Lobster bisque was thick and pasty, not smooth and silky like it should have been. Lobster fra diavolo was too salty to eat. Seafood Anna Maria was flavorless. Red Sangria was good. Lobster roll was good although small. Lobster nachos were edible. Calamari was rubbery, over cooked. Fried shrimp were crispy on the outside but doughy on the inside; again a sign of frozen shrimp one block from the Gulf of Mexico. We had a way better and less expensive meal at the AMI City Pier the night before. Manager explained away the issues by saying that his head chef was off that night and his sous chef was running the kitchen. What a terrible excuse. This place is obviously geared toward tourists. Don't be tempted by the great looking menu. Go somewhere else. Try Eat Here, the Pier, The Blue Marlin, anything. Go to the fish market, buy your seafood, and cook it yourself. We'll never be back and I hope you won't either.

Pass on this place! The worst service on the island. I have never felt like I was such a bourdon and I eat out for business atleast 200 times per year. Kids food is bad, steak was burnt. Lobster roll was good, but the other bad issues made us just want to finish and leave, which we did.

Awesome dinner. Meaty lobstah Bisque was fabulous. Lobstah roll was authentic and Gary our server was top notch. Looking forward to coming back!

Kinda surprised and the poor reviews. We really like this place. Service is great and very friendly, Shelly,, Josalyn and Ryan, yeah. We usually go for happy hour which is great value. We have tried peel and eat shrimp, Chicken strips, wings all very good nothing extraordinary. However, their ahi tuna app, with edemame and arugula is superb. My husband likes their Caesar salad and we both love the meaty lobster bisque. (Though one time we did not get the shery splash, which makes a difference). Nice ambience too. People mention price; candidly every restaurant on AMI is pricy and Lobstahs prices are certainly competitive especially when you compare grouper to grouper.

We arrived without a reservation, and they were really accommodating. A few of us got the Meaty Lobster Bisque, and it was really good. The main dishes were a hit or miss. My daughter got the Lobster Newburg, and it was ok. My niece got a garlic lobster dish, and that was really good. I got the butter lobster roll and it was tiny. I've had some on the food trucks, and they were bigger than what I got there. A bit overpriced for what we got.

Came here for a late dinner on the last evening of our September trip to AMI. Everything was great! Bloody Mary's, Lobstah Margaritas a must. The butter Lobstah rolls, Lobstah Mac & Cheese, Lobstah Tails all amazing! Wonderful service, great, reasonable prices. Highly recommend!!

This was the first time our party of 6 adults ever ate here. It was a Friday night and they were really busy in the dining room, so we ate (same menu) in the Tiki lounge which was nice and quiet. We had the shuffle board table and games all to ourselves to play before and after dinner, which was great for us. My daughter and I had the "meaty" lobster bisque ($14 a bowl!), which was good, but I've had much better. It was kind of salty to me. We also got the lobster tails, and I started to eat mine but it was not cooked enough - it was soft and floppy and not white but pink. I was afraid I was going to get sick if I ate more of it. I asked if they could cook it more for me, and they were nice enough to cook me another one - which I really didn't expect and it took awhile of course. It was much better but not the best I've had. They apologized about the first one. The rest of the party enjoyed their food OK, no complaints but no raves either. The waitress was nice and provided good service.

Had reservations completed from open table. We got there early but were seated right away. Not an overly large place but suitable for your needs. The steak was the best that I've had in a long time. Hands down the best meal we had on the trip. No complaints for anyone. The waitress wasn't overly friendly but never allowed my soda to go empty. The manager, who is new, stopped by to make sure everything was good. It is a bit on the pricey side; however, you get what you pay for. The night we were there, there was a large party coming in and they had no issues accommodating them. If we go back to the island, we will be back here.

Oysters were delicious, bloody mary was a meal in itself! Had the fish and chips, it was good, friend had the library took and says it was great, maybe I should've done the same. Service is slow though, don't be in a hurry when you come here, it supports the laid back beach life protocols, flip flops and shorts are the expected dress and enjoying the day is your modus operandi.

Friendly and quick service. Nice interior restaurant and more upscale than I had anticipated. Children's menu, of course as always, is a plus. Fries are skinny, crispy and excellent. The mac n' cheese is richly decadent. We got the namesake Lobster Roll (not the mayo based one), per our server's recommendation, and it was very good. The roll was nicely toasted, and they did not skimp on the buttery lobster meat. I have had better lobster rolls, but this one did not disappoint, either. Generous tropical cocktails. A little of the price-y side, but on par with most of the similar restaurants around town.

The service was very friendly and accommodating! The atmosphere was really nice and there are basically two restaurants within this establishment but they both have exactly the same menu. One pet is a tiki bar and is very casual, the other is more traditional setting. Our server was outstanding, as was the manager. The food was ok in terms of taste, but pretty much cold/cool when served. The manager informed us that their policy is to not refund any portion of the tab, they can only replace the food. That part of the visit was disappointing. I don't think we'll be in a hurry to get back there.

Came here for dinner last weekend as a family and our experience wasn't amazing but it wasn't altogether bad. First thing we sat down and we had made reservations for 7 people, we were sat immediately but at 2 different tables. I was not happy with that, at all. It's not the way IMO anyone should be seated if they are one party and it's a sit down restaurant. The ambiance of the place was ok.....I was expecting a little bit more. Also our waitress was ok, she was a bit awkward and we were a little bit of a rowdy table. She seemed like maybe it was her first day or something. Food wise it was also just ok. I had a taste of their lobster bisque. I'm kind of obsessed with lobster bisque, and I at least taste it everywhere that has it. This bisque was ok. It was too thick, it was almost more of a sauce. We had the lobster nachos, which were good but there wasn't enough lobster on it for the price. I had a small salad with lobster dressing (which was amazing!). I then had the lobster roll and it was so good! The bread on it was toasted and the lobster in it was fantastic. Most people enjoyed their meals but the devil is in the details....so if they could adjust some things it would be better.

Nice dining area with more seats and games in back. The service was good and staff friendly. It's kind of a take on lobster shacks found in rural MA or NH. I had the lobster which good, just enough to fill me. No craft beer here, only bubba brew, big marks off from this beer snob. Went mixed drinks whicn were watered down. The bar could use some improvement.

Worst servers and bartenders on the planet. The food is over priced, if and when you can get service. There is one waiter who is just plain rude and thinks he is the only one doing everything right...I beg to differ he is terrible!

    (1)
  • Mymy C.

I love this place!! In terms of seafood it is for sure one of the better spots in the area, albeit a little pricey. Lobster bisque is hands down the best I've ever had & the 'meaty' option is totally worth the up charge!

Went here with my family during our reunion. The food was great and our waiter, Gary, was very attentive. He even sang us a song with his beautiful voice! The lobster roll and the cole slaw were excellent.

This was our 2nd time here. I did make a reservation (with open table) for @ 5pm. When arrived the host had to check to see about our reservation. Then she took us to a table by the kitchen door... I asked to be changed to another table & pointed to one in the front.... She said that was reserved... I said yes, we had reserved a table too. We did a table in the bar area a high top... Our serve was Jennifer & she was great! Plus, our meal was terrific too. We both had the grouper in a bag... It was soooo full of taste! Our friends had salmon & lobster soup & they said it was amazing too! None of us took home a doggie bag, because it was that darn good... Can't wait to go back!

  • Daniel B.

Not bad, but not good. My daughters Mac & chz was Kraft. My burger was okay. My wife wasn't a fan of the fish & chips. One redeeming quality is the $14 meaty lobster bisque. My waitress had a tongue ring. A sign on the wall here describes the attitude perfectly. "don't talk about yourself, we'll do that after you leave.

    (3)
  • Linda Ann R.

The lobster roll had fresh lobster but a really stingy portion given the $19.00 lunch price. So I won't go back for that although the cole slaw was excellent! The waitress said when we ordered that it was approximately as much lobster meat as a 2 pounder...no way!

  • Rachel B.

This place was just okay. Really nothing special, except the lobster bisque n Mac n cheese. My husband and brother n law both had a bowl and it was delicious. My brother n law also had the lobster Mac n cheese which was amazing! My sister and I had the lobster tacos which were just okay. The oysters were good but very small. The server was verify friendly but had several tables all over the place. Several times we heard the table beside us ask where is our server? A great thing is they took reservations and we were sat right away. ;) would probably go back it just wasn't as good as some of the other places we ate at around here.

Gross and overpriced!!!! To many other places on the island. Don't waste your money. The staff was rude and no where to be found. I thought the place would be fine but now I know why it was empty.

We stopped here for lunch before hitting up Holmes Beach. It was not crowded at all, around 2PM. The bloody mary's were awesome, had a couple of those! They didn't have Absolute Peppar though. The mac and cheese was pretty good, very cheesy. It's a good size, enough to share with the table. We also got the lobster rolls, an open-faced sandwich filled with fresh, buttery lobster. I thought this place wasn't too bad, the service is what shaved off a star. Very meh, I expect a little more sunshine for a restaurant RIGHT BY THE BEACH. And she took a very long time to bring out our food.

  • Bridget S.

Nice, nice, nice. We had a table of 10, no problem. Food was good, I loved my husbands spicy pasta with lobster and mussels. The steak was good, but a bit salty. My daughters and family overall enjoyed the meal. We arrived at our reserved time, but the only negative.... the bartender had to wait on our table plus tend the bar. They need a few more wait staff during the busy spring/summer season. Overall the bartender did a great job for the number of people she was attending to! The chef was great and all our meals came out at the same time!

We came to AMI to visit from RI. We take great pride in the quality of our seafood and i was pleasantly surprised with how fresh and delicious the food was here! The service was impeccable as well. With Gary as our waiter, we enjoyed ourselves wholeheartedly the entire night. He made us feel welcome, was personable, and had a kind demeanor as well. I rated this 5 stars because it was the best dining experience we had while on vacation.

Good place to eat, but not really for a family in the evenings due to the noise level caused by drinking and the time of day. Otherwise this was good food service and friendly. It is pricey. We had a new hire and she was not able to answer a lot of our questions at the time that we had about the menu, so she had to keep going back to get the answers. That was ok by me since I wanted it right, but many people would not.

We went here for Valentine's Day and it just seems to get better every time we eat there. We shared the Mozzarella Caprese Fresh Mozzarella Cheese salad which was outstanding. I had the meaty Lobster bisque which a few more dollar than the regular bisque but believe me it is well worth the money. Had the steamed little neck clams in a very nice sauce and tasty sauce and my wife had the Sesame Seared Ahi Tuna for an appetizer and finally we both had the lobster dinner with a great vegetable combination and boiled cut up potatoes. Cannot comment on desserts since we didn't have any room left. BTW the bread is also excellent. Our waitress was Rachel and we recommend her very highly. Since was always there when we needed her and very friendly and quite funny. All around a great experience. Try it. Only down side is limited parking which is not surprising when eating out on the Island.

No waiting Monday night. The place had a great atmosphere and decor was nice. The service was great...thanks Yenny. Waitress made suggestions and informed us of portion sizes etc. Lobstah nachos were huge portions and the Roostah wings with the Caribbean Calypso flavor were awesome. The Lobstah mac-n-cheese was very good. My daughter ordered the fish and chips which were great and she had to take half home with her. I would highly recommend. We wanted to try the key lime pie but were too full. Next time...

Best food we had on the island! Everything was amazing. Have to try the lobster mac-n-cheese, mussels with the white sauce, and steak and lobster. We are on AMI for a girl's weekend. Had to try some lobster. Was not disappointed. Started with small fries and lobster Mac and cheese. Yumm, took all of 5 seconds to clean the plates. Three of us had the lobster tail, veggies and chef potato. Delicious. One got a cheese burger (I know) but she said it was good too. We really enjoyed our meal out on the porch. This will be on our must eat at places when ever we come to the island. Enjoy!

First time in Anna Maria and stopped by to check this place out. I'm not a big seafood fan but the Anna Maria Scampi was really really good. There are more seafood choices then steak but awesome place to dine at. Highly recommended! Definitely will be back.

What a find! Lobstah's is the real deal. The meaty lobster bisque is the best I've ever had. The fried shrimp are large meaty and delicious and the lobster is perfectly cooked. The people there are friendly and the place is nicely decorated. I will most certainly be a regular here whenever I'm in town.

Margaritas were excellent, caprese salad appetizer was generous and tasty, garlic bread had right balance of butter, garlic and parmesan. Our friends had lobster bisque and said it was very good. Also had bagged grouper - perfect. Husband had fish and chips - meaty fish (not all breading) Other friend had shrimp dinner - very large shrimp. The vegetables were unusually delicious and perfectly cooked and seasoned. Our server was Alexa - very informative, gracious, attentive and professional.

We have been on the island a week and a half and already eaten here 4 times. This is gourmet food at a reasonable price, by a world class chef. Lobster roll sandwich is the best my wife has ever had. Scallops for dinner on a bed of fabulous risotto, best I have ever had. Delmonico steak dinner awesome. Even the hamburgers are unsurpassed. On top of it all, the wait staff makes it a fun experience. Bill & Karen

Lobstahs lives up to its name with probably the best Lobster Bisque. When you stop in, be sure to order Meaty Lobster Bisque. I can guarantee you it will not disappoint. The restaurant is casual, portions are sufficient, service is prompt and friendly.

We just ran across this place and it was awesome. We happened to be there at a slow time of day and the waitress was very friendly and answered our questions about the area. Then the food came out and it was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this place!

Our yelp reservation never made it to them, so there was only outdoor seating available. Would have been pleasant enough if not for the flies that kept swarming us. People if you provide outdoor seating you should have some kind of pest control. Service was slow too take order, but the food came out fairly quick. Food was good, but like other reviewers stated ' nothing to rave about '. The dipping bread with butter and garlic was very tasty. Overall a decent meal, but really expected a little more for the dollars.

Had the grouper in a bag! This was probably the best meal I had on the island during my week stay. It is pretty expensive but was definitely worth it. The seafood was very fresh and well prepared. The service was also pretty good. The restraunt itself seems to be out of place, because it is more of a bar and grill trying to serve 5 star meals. Worth a stop by while you are around for some good seafood!

My family and I spent one week on Anna Maria Island and on our last night we decided to go to Lobstahs. Boy! We had the best meal of the trip! We started with the Lobstahs nachos which were incredible and the calamari which was the best of 3 restaurants we tried. Wife and I had surf and turf, hers filet mignon turf and mine was with a delmonico rib eye. Both were prepared exceptionally and the plate presentation was flawless. Kids had a burger and their seafood over linguini which included clams, shrimp and calamari. All was exceptional. Our waiter was EXCEPTIONAL! One of the best dining experiences of my life! We will be back.

Lobster bisque is amazing, seasoned perfectly, sherry balanced well with the buttery texture to bring out the sweetness of the lobster. When you finish, genuine sadness overcomes you as you wish more bisque would magically appear for just one more bite. Lobster roll is divine, generous chunks of lobster, perfectly buttered but not so much as too be overwhelmingly oily. Lobster is sweet, delicate, and subtle. Fresh ocean flavor, not a hint of age. The bread is crispy on the outside and withstands the buttery lobster without becoming soggy or falling apart, but manages to turn into a moist delicious texture where contact is made with the lobster, giving the overall flavor of buttered toast. Let's be real: WHO doesn't love buttered toast? Skinny fries are crisp and full of potato flavor, also devoid of oily grease. Nice complement to the lobster roll, to help break up the richness and avoid washing out your palate. Overall: Portions are satisfying, ambiance is a little kitschy/sports bar on the bar side (though the main dining area looked much classier), but this is a tourist area, after all. Service was excellent, quick, and attentive. If I'm ever back in Florida, I'll definitely make it a point to drive all the way down to Anna Maria Island to eat lobster here again. It was really that good.

Pretty good overall. The shrimp and fish were excellent, and so were all of the desserts! However, the fries were a bit rubbery and not hot, and the service could have been a little friendlier.

Lobster rolls were fantastic! Service was great. Only complaints are that it smelled like chlorine/bleach in the restaurant the entire time we were there and lunch for 2 people was $50 (a bit pricey for lunch just for 2 lobster rolls & iced tea).

I've been recently a few times with exceptional service and food quality! The lobster nachos are phenomenal and the waitstaff is fantastic!

Had dinner here the first night on the island. Seared tuna appetizer was fantastic and the caprese was very good. Next had the meaty lobstah bisque - so good I wanted to cry. By the time my lobstah roll came I was way too full but could not resist it. Now at the end of my week here, I have to say this was the best meal of the vacation. And to the reviewer that commented on the proliferation of one-time reviewers and remembering the server by name, I overheard the waitstaff asking happy patrons to leave a review. Nothing wrong with that in my book. For whatever reason, mine did not specifically ask me to do so...but the meal was so good that I felt I needed to.

For someone who is from New England, I have particular tastes for Lobster. This place is very good. The lobster is very good here. The meaty lobster bisque is tremendous! A wonderful seafood place in an area where there should be better ones but not. The service was ok. We came on a Thirsday and Friday and did not have to wait. The Margarita on the rocks was very good. I recommend this place highly!!

Reception put our name down, told her we would be at the bar...guess she forgot about us. Ate at the bar, drinks OK. Bar guy forgot to order oysters for an app. Lobster roll wife had just an acceptable amount of lobster...grouper was good. Comp'd dessert for missed app.

We were not impressed. We'd heard very good things about the restaurant but all in all we left unsatisfied and with a much lighter wallet. I had the Garlic Lobstah which is served in a dish with a side of linguine. It was so full of wine and tomatoes that it overpowered any garlic flavor - it just didn't taste good. My husband and son had the Maine Lobstah Roll, they both enjoyed the taste but it wasn't much food. My daughter had the Lobstah tail and enjoyed it but when u pay that much money for food 1 out of 3 isn't good.

Nice place, good decor, nice inside and out. good, attentive staff. free bread witj garlic oil dip - nice touch - then had special recommended by waitress - large scallops on a delish risotto - really tasty and probably the best scallops I had ever had. Huge portion. Hubbie had lobster Newburg - never had before so difficult to compare but was fine and tasty - but oy - is lobster always chewy? Maybe - but tasty enough that he finished it. Slightly put off by mournfull looking lobsters tapping to get out of the fish tank - but at least we didn't have to murder them ourselves. Would definitely return - nice place, good staff , good food - what's not to like?

So good we ate here yesterday and coming back again tonight. Ahi app was amazing. Filet MÍGNÖn with lobster tail was fantastic. Key lime pie best I have had. A great place to go for great food!

We loved it here. Great steak and fantastic meaty lobster bisque. Our server Lisa was outstanding. Would loved to have tried a desert but we were too full from an excellent meal. Also, they take reservations right from the Yelp app. A winner!!!

The three of us had a delightful time having dinner here on a week night. The lobster nacho appetizers were really awesome! Two of us had the lobster tail special amendment the other had the nightly special of "hog snapper" which none of us had heard of before. The charming waiter, was very knowledgable about the menu, and explained the fish in detail and did an excellent job. We all three thought our food was very good. The consensus on the table was the snapper exceptional! The specialty drinks were not that special but the margarita on the rocks was exceptionally refreshing and delicious, all 3 of them. We all 3 would go back for this good food and exceptionally great service.

Great lobster bisque (get the meaty choice!). We have consistently had a great experience here. The drinks are very good, almost too strong. Very attentive wait staff

If you want seafood on the Island, go check this place out. Raul was out server and he was excellent!! Our food was absolutely perfect, and the portions were nice and big. Great grouper fillet, and the lobster is amazing. This is a great treat if you love seafood!!!

This place is classy yet not pretentious. I just ate the most unique & yummy food for approx $20 an entree (oysters AND clams both delish apps!!!). Hubby loved his salmon & my lobster tail was perfect. Oysters served on ice. Lemons wrapped in a cute mesh bonnet. This place is a hidden gem!!! Will eat here every time I'm here. You can't go wrong.

Uhg. Of all the great choices on AMI, we made the mistake of trying this place. The food was terrible and overpriced. Hit Slims on Gulf Dr if you want amazing lobster mac & cheese.

Very unimpressed. Ordered the lobster bisque and it was awful. Very floury/sugary or something. Could barely taste any lobster flavor. Ordered the garlic lobster as it said it was like a scampi - it was basically just buttered noodles with veryyy small bites of lobster with a ton of tomatoes in a garlic soup. Clogged my arteries as I was eating and just couldnt finish. AND they expected $29 for this. I coulda made that dish when i was 12... Only getting 2 stars because the service was nice.

Excellent food and presentation. Had a great waiter. The bread comes out with roasted garlic that spreads like butter. We ordered artichoke lobster dip and that was fantastic. I had lobster mac n cheese, since I was starving when I got there, I ordered the big boy. It was huge! The grouper in a bag is to die for and I highly recommend ordering it! Also, being a rancher from Montana, I am a prime rib snob and this was some of the best prime rib I have ever had. Highly recommended.

Grouper in a bag was good, bisque was VERY rich and the stuffed flounder was drowned in butter and more bisque. Great place for drinks and an appetizer though.

Lobstah's lobsters are not fresh. They're likely frozen, but that convenience didn't make our service any faster. We waited 45 minutes for our dinner to arrive. After all that waiting, we still had sub-par dinner, and a check over-charging us.

The lobster roll and bisque were fantastic! The cheesecake was amazing (one of my fellow diners literally licked the plate lol). Our server was awesome too (ask for Laura she's great). There is a wait there for dinner, but trust me it's worth it!

We're on vacation and heard about Lobstahs. Everyone said it was a casual local spot... Had dinner with my wife, although nothing fancy, food was great and the service fast and very atentive. Would definitely go back!

I'm somewhat of a language snob, so I'll admit I was judging harshly when I read the sign for "Lobstahs" which was in serious conflict for my love for lobster. A previous review described it as a cross between Red Lobster and Joe's Crab Shack, which I think is fairly accurate, except that the seafood is much fresher, being that it's in FL. The lobster roll was delicious. I got the butter lobster roll and the husband got the classic Maine. Yum. Everything seafood seemed pretty fresh and our group seemed pleased overall. There are two distinct seating areas- inside that is more contemporary and dressy, and a tiki-style patio area.

Food, drinks, atmosphere and wait staff are outstanding. Loved the decor and music. We stayed for 3+ hours and was never once rushed to leave. Fabulous place will definitely be going back.

Stopped in on a whim. Loved the decor and atmosphere. Service was fantastic. We had the special that night- seared scallops with risotto. The couple at the next table asked if we would share! (No.) :) Will definitely go back again. Prices were reasonable, place was spotless. Didn't have room for dessert, so next time we'll try the house made key lime pie!

Just got back from having the MOST amazing meal. Our waiter Gary was the best. We enjoyed everything -- bread with roasted garlic, lobster bisque (best I have ever had), grouper in a bag and special for the night triple tail fish even the veggies were wonderful. We definitely recommend this place!

Cannot say enough good things about this place ! We planned to have our rehearsal dinner here for our wedding party and they were professional and accommodating, answering all our questions and offering suggestions. Between the time we scheduled this and when the actual event occurred, they had a change in menu. Not only did they stick with the items we requested, some of which were no longer on their menu, but they made a FANTASTIC dessert selection for all of our wedding party. Their food is great and a nice atmosphere every time we go here and we have been back multiple times.

Just finished dinner And all I can say is eh it was ok. Started with a shrimp cocktail which is served with a romalade sauce when we ordered it we asked for cocktail sauce which we were told was not a problem. Shrimp cocktail delivered no cocktail sauce flagged the waiter down he said he would bring it right away he goes into the kitchen comes out a few minutes later stands by waiter stand no cocktail sauce the waitress he was training finally reminded him cocktail sauce arrives my wife's was fine mine congealed into a solid mass I had tried to dip a shrimp and it bounced off when I broke it open it had a putrid smell it was spoiled. waiter comes over asks what's the problem I show him manager comes over and introduces himself apologizes waiter comes out with new sauce and 2 shrimp (nice gesture) but sauce was congealed and bad finally a good sauce arrives it was fine but kind of had a bad taste in my mouth for shrimp. My wife had the lobster roll and it was very good plenty of lobster and tossed with a little mayo celery served on a bittered toasted roll served with fries ( frozen kind) I had a filet mignon with a Maine lobster tail steak was done as ordered not the most tender filet I have had but it was good lobster tail was tiny and was a 16.00 extra with the 32.00 filet made it 48.00 dollar entre served with house potato and some kind of unidentifiable veg I think it might of been some kind of squash thing. The cocktails were well made and generous. The funny thing was when the bill came the shrimp cocktail wasn't on the bill I thanked the manager for that and he looked at me like I was crazy and said "they took that off the bill?" and raced off into the kitchen very annoyed it seemed. I have to say I wouldn't go back just didn't get a good vibe from the place. S

Overpriced. The lobster was good and used creatively, but served with frozen French fries!? Not hand cut or seasoned, disappointing. Wait staff was inexperienced. Should of told me my $7 Martini would cost me $14 to make it with Grey Goose. Memorable restaurant in a bad way.

Tried for the first and lat time! After eating here I was sick for five straight days. The kitchen staff must not wash their hands, or cross-contaminate food. Overpriced, and overall not a pleasant experience. Lazy Lobster is much better if you want lobster, or Bridge Street Bistro/Island Time is much better! They won't last, but maybe the next place will be better.

The two stars above should really be one star (zero, if I had that alternative) for service and three for food and one for wine. Fawlty Towers redux, I say, but not funny. This was my wife's birthday, and we were 11 adults in the dinner party. I had visited the restaurant a week earlier, met with the chef, made the reservation, and decided on a three-course set dinner. Arriving at the restaurant for the festivities, it turned out they had lost the reservation and were in no way apologetic about it, rather the opposite. After an irritating and mood-dampening cluster wait in the doorway - during which the ordered champagne never arrived - enough other guests had left for the restaurant staff to be able to sloppily set a table for our party. With one too few place settings and chairs. Then the champagne (I strongly suspect it did not come from the district that has lent the wine its name) arrived, one too many glasses poured. And thus it continued all evening with dropped chopsticks and missed servings and reaching left and right over the guests and making us pass the plates ... well, you get the picture. As I said, the food was more than acceptable, at least the appetizer (seared tuna) and the main course (lobster). The dessert (key lime pie), however, resembled drywall joint compound. Finally, the wines. From the already very limited listed selection, we were not even able to get what we wanted. All sorts of substitutes were suggested - passable, but not what we wanted. And the whites were plunked down on the table instead of put in an ice bucket, slowly assuming the temperature of the venue as well as my temper. Needless to say, the waitstaff was made aware of my displeasure and as a token gesture, the champagne was taken off the check. Still, a close-to-one-thousand-dollar experience I don't wish upon anyone. Do I sound like a snob? Just call me an experienced restaurant goer with high but not unreasonable expectations.

Admittedly, I might not be the best judge of character on this particular restaurant as I was here on a girls' weekend (woo!) and was perhaps not in the most sober state of mind. However, from what I do remember the food was alright to pretty good (Lobstah bisque and a caprese salad). Service was pretty good as well. They also have a nice outdoor patio dining section. What turned me off was the chain restaurant feeling. It felt like a cross between a Red Lobster and a Joe's Crab Shack. And also, the creepy "Choose-Your-Own-Lobster" Claw Game. Seriously, just get that out of there.

I had best crab cake sandwich for lunch that I'd had in a while. Fries were great too. Great atmosphere in the tiki area. Maybe next time we'll go for dinner. One of our new favorite places to eat on the island.

Ate there Saturday night food was fair and over priced. First time we ate there it was great. Everything looked frozen and I guess whoever is microwaving wasn't doing a good job.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
